The company
Roehampton Cars is a Transport for London-licensed Private Hire Company (Operator no: 3575). We were established in March 2005 to provide a professional, reliable and economical minicab service to the local community.
Our operations centre
We set ourselves very high standards, following the motto ‘the customer is always right’, and endeavour to ensure a high level of satisfaction with our service. To achieve this aim, our staff, who have over 30 years experience within the industry, are constantly evolving with the latest industry developments and technologies, to continually improve the service we offer.
Our drivers
We expect the high standards set for ourselves to be reflected in the quality of service our drivers provide to passengers and emphasise this through a selective driver recruitment process and on-going communications.
At the interview stage, drivers are vetted to ensure suitability to the role and compatibility with our service aims. This includes proving they currently hold a valid licence, issue by Transport for London (TfL), and have undergone an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check to ensure they are fit and proper to assume the role of a London Private Hire Driver.
Our fleet
As with our office personnel and drivers, it is imperative that our fleet of vehicles reach a standard that reflects the values of the company. To this end, we offer a range of vehicles from saloons and estates to MPV and executive – as well as hybrid options. Passengers who have a specific vehicle requirement are asked to give 24-hours notice to ensure we are able to accommodate the request.
All vehicles are subject to an annual inspection by the licensing authority and six-monthly MOT. Provided they meet the strict criteria, they are given a permit to operate as hire vehicles. Additionally, Roehampton Cars Drivers are required to present vehicles for a weekly inspection by the company’s fleet manager, to ensure they are being kept in suitable condition.
